The First Global Restaurant Design Award by a Taiwanese Design Team

We are honored that The Taste Journey, the design project for THOMAS CHIEN Restaurant, has won the globally  Sustainability Award from Restaurant & Bar Design Award, defeating top international design teams with less than a 3% chance of victory. This is the first time a Taiwanese design team has won this award, bringing a Taiwanese restaurant to the international stage with a focus on sustainability and local waste recycling.
The Restaurant & Bar Design Award is a globally recognized award for restaurant and bar space design, founded in the UK and now in its 16th year. The award continues to honor the most creative and outstanding spaces and their design teams. It is promoted by industry leaders, including the Editor-in-Chief of Wallpaper* magazine. This year's judging panel consists of some of the most influential experts in the design, hospitality, and lifestyle sectors, including the Global Head of Dining Brands at Hilton, Global Concept Director at Starbucks, Global Vice President of Design at Marriott, and the Global Vice President at Hyatt. The competition received thousands of entries from 67 countries worldwide.

Local Restaurant Built with Nearly 80% Sustainable Materials

For years, we have been driven by the principle of creating meaningful design in Taiwan, and now, we finally have the opportunity to bring the sustainability of our land to the international stage. We are grateful to the team of THOMAS CHIEN Restaurant and our excellent partners: Sustainability Consultants Dr. Guo from Lotos , Everplast Machinery, Alinea the Floral, 3D Printing, Craft Techniques, and the electromechanical design and engineering team, who worked together to implement and break new ground!
