Redefining High-Rise Layouts and Breaking the Traditional Limitations of Pillars in Taiwan's Tallest Residential Building

Located in Kaohsiung's central business district, this project is Taiwan's tallest luxury residential building, standing at nearly 265 meters. It combines both residential and hotel functions, designed to meet the unique needs of a mother and daughter—one living locally and the other returning periodically. The space seamlessly integrates a study, living room, dining room, and bedroom into a 15.5-meter-wide area. A multi-layered wavy ceiling design connects the spaces, eliminating rigid beams and complex air conditioning systems, while exposed rough beams maximize the building's height and enhance the natural, vacation-like atmosphere. The design prioritizes earthquake safety by minimizing furnishings on higher levels to reduce the risk of falling objects. Surrounded by natural landscapes, the residence features spacious, open layouts with panoramic views and incorporates age-friendly, vacation-like qualities. The interior is divided into distinct zones for each resident, with a serene entrance area and a transparent, comfortable public space filled with natural light. The design harmoniously blends straight lines and curves to create a balanced, practical living environment that offers both flexibility and comfort.
